Abstract
Three personality constructs that are hypothesized to be related to desirable organizational outcomes were validated in the present study. The 363 participants included 39 artists, 43 athletes and 281 psychology students, for a total of 363 participants. Confirmatory factor analysis revealed a good fit to the measurement and structural models. The scales were trimmed to maximize discriminative efficacy in an effort to further establish construct validity. The trimmed measures have satisfactory scale characteristics, but their discriminative efficacy is limited.
