The Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI) is Virginia’s main access point for cybersecurity research, innovation, workforce development, and news. In this community, researchers find funding and collaboration, students discover diverse career possibilities, and new innovations come to life.

COVA CCI offers undergraduate students from across the region to participate in an undergraduate research program. This program allows the student to work on an independent cybersecurity research project with the assistance of a cyber mentor from either business or academia. This is a paid program, and the student will present their research during a showcase event at the end of the semester.
