Abstract

All of us receive, directly and indirectly, instruction from our childhood homes about how our lives should be lived. We react to such lessons in diverse ways, but few of us escape their influence on our daily lives. This collection of stories endeavors to illustrate how various characters, in different stages of life, have been influenced by lessons from home, and what effects these lessons have on the patterns of their realities. The lessons taught vary greatly. In some cases, the instruction received from home has had a positive, nurturing influence. In other instances, negative scripting has been passed down through the generations. However, whether the characters rebel against or accept such lessons, their lives reverberate with the influence of what has been learned.
