Abstract
This collection of poems tells the narratives of five different people all struggling with the everyday realities of sexual assault and abuse. Using a mixture of information from one on one personal interviews and first hand experience, the poems are crafted with the details of an individual's life in mind. Although most of the stories in these poems are true to a singular person, the emotions and struggles each character experiences are meant to reach out to the wider community of survivors and allies alike. Instead of names, each voice is represented by a familiar image. These images are placed here in an attempt to connect reader to voice so that anyone might find a way into these poems to be a witness and to listen with compassion.
