Abstract
A Tin of Shoe Polish, Mostly Used Up is a collection of poems that explores the author's anxieties concerning his position as a young man, husband, and poet. The collection moves between the author's actual experience and the experience of a fictional older couple in an effort to better understand the human elements of personal growth, connection, and fulfillment.
