Abstract

In recent decades the discipline of English has undergone a complete reexamination from a number of angles. Important pedagogical issues have been raised because of the growth of composition programs, and English departments have even witnessed the birth of several subspecialities within composition studies. Two of these subspeciality areas, rhetorical theory and computer-assisted writing, have received special attention. In this paper, I suggest. that, these two can powerfully coexist and can help students gain insights about writing.
