Abstract

This thesis is a memoir relating the events, characters and situations the author encountered during the adolescent years of twelve to seventeen. Relying on her memories and memories of family members, the author has attempted to tell the story as faithfully as possible. Intermingled with the story are reflections of emotional, physical, and verbal abuse. Last names have been withheld in order to protect identities of those concerned.
