Abstract

The following is a collection of poems each of which in some fashion deals with knowledge or ideas that we, as creatures of habit, accept to be true. Each poem typically serves to challenge how and why we have become assured of these ideas. Others may simply note an exception, a kink in the proverbial armor if you will. The first section entitled "Myths" works to question several well known mythological or biblical stories that play somewhat prominent roles in contemporary belief systems. Others in the section serve to perhaps initiate myths of their own. The second section "Landscape" questions the comfortable relationships we often hold with the surrounding physical world and how those relationships craft our thoughts and personalities.
