Nukes is the deadliest type of weapons in our history. One blow is used to kill thousands. A lot of people suffered because of diseases, that nuclear explosions were bringing. The presence of such type of weapon in some countries was giving them a feeling of dominance in war sphere. They were using it as an instrument of power in order to achieve its goals and gain more political influence. But on the other side, the leaderships of these countries understood, that too many nuclear bombs may lead to unfavorable consequences, so it's better to create world mechanism, that can limit the development of nukes. It ended up with Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty sign. Later on the discussion about total nuclear weapons ban took its place. It ended up with sign of a Treaty of Nuclear Weapons Prohibition in 2017. But did the non-proliferation mechanism really work? How high is influence of nuclear weapons in modern world? Can idea of nuclear weapons ban find support in future? What are the threats besides nuclear weapons? About this I will talk in my presentation.
