Frank Glazer, foremost pianist, lives in Maine. He has performed with leading orchestras worldwide (the New York Philharmonic, Chicago and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestras, the Residentie Orchestra of the Hague, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande), and he has played more than thirty-five different concerti. Widely known for the considerable breadth of his repertoire, Mr. Glazer is at ease with compositions from Bach to the contemporary scene.

Description

Frank Glazer performed a Piano Recital on Monday, September 25, 1978 at 8:30 p.m. in the Technology Building Theater. He played selections from Schubert, Beethoven, Brahms and others.

Glazer held a Piano Workshop on Tuesday, September 26, 1978 at 2:30 p.m. in the Technology Building Theater. He conducted a master class with piano students from ODU and presented a lecture/demonstration on "Aphorisms and Other Reminders for Pianists and Other Musicians."

On Tuesday, September 26, 1978 at 8:15 p.m. in the Technology Building Theater, there was a performance by Frank Glazer and Anthony Hecht. Two exceptional artists combined their talents in a unique performance of music and literature. Messrs. Glazer and Hecht blended selections from a variety of writers, including Pope, Joyce, and Bishop, with musical compositions by Scarlatti , Bach , Schoenberg and others.
