Michael Mott is the Writer-in-Residence at the College of William and Mary. His works include the novels The Notebooks of Susan Berry and Helmet and Wasps. He has published four books of poetry, children's novels, short stories and articles. Mr. Mott has also published and lectured widely on the Fine Arts.

Description

Michael Mott held a discussion on a few paintings that have inspired poems, music, and drama at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 1978 in the Technology Building Theater.

After the Reading, Sherri Brennen with the ODU Community Ballet, Faculty Piano Trio, and the Pulitzer Prize winning poet, W. D. Snodgrass, provided an imaginative and dramatic rendering of Van Gogh's "Starry Night" on Thursday, September 28, 1978 in the Technology Building Theater.
