Author/Artist Bio
Writer, scholar, and illustrator Norton Girault LCDR (ret.) is a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. A 1940 graduate of LSU, his master’s thesis was the seminal essay “The Narrator’s Mind as Symbol: An Analysis of All The King's Men.” A former fellow at Yaddo, Girault has been a vital member of the Hampton Roads literary community and has studied at Bread Loaf Writer’s Workshop for more than two decades. His stories appear in Powhatan Review, Long Story, and many other journals.
