This presentation will address the embracing of my Congolese Heritage in my academic and personal success and discuss how this embrace has allowed me to create a space to give back to people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). This presentation will demonstrate how the author's immigrant experience shaped his global thinking and his approach to honors. BBBL embodies integrity by pursuing the idea of service over profits. The presenter will show how dependence on technology inversely increases child exploitation in the DRC. BBBL commits its resources to addressing teens most affected by low educational outcomes by making strides to obtain nonprofit 501(c) (3) status.
