Once upon a time, leadership was a concept reserved for only a unique set of individuals. Today, however, leadership studies explains how everyday people can become great leaders and how great leaders can even become greater. We’ve dispelled the myths that say, "leadership is only for a select few" with courses, books, trainings, positive psychology, research, and analyses. Leadership skills and competencies are now teachable to all. For some, the thought of being a leader is enticing; the awareness and belief that we can learn how to become great leaders is encouraging. But there is one remaining question that is essential for determining whether someone has what it takes to become a great leader. In this flash talk, I identify this essential question and examine what it entails for aspiring leaders.
