For this Marketing Research assignment my partner and I chose to conduct a survey on whether consumers preferred Nike or Under Armour. Our survey asked a series of question that would show us which company has better customer retention. Customer retention is the ability to retain customers based on an intimate understanding of their needs, which comes primarily from marketing research. The reason why we chose Nike vs. Under Armour as our topic was to see which brand consumers preferred the most and why. Another reason we chose this topic is because clothing is a basic necessity for everyday life and these both of these companies provide that. Not only is clothing a basic need, but it influences our social status. We would like to know if fashion, advertising, or price affects consumers preference. We predict that Nike would be the preferable brand over Under Armour. Although some people may not purchase items from Nike, they are aware of their durability, fashion, and affordability from other consumers. We look forward to sharing our findings in the upcoming analysis. This analysis will include our questions, responses, and visual data.
