CONRAD is a boutique hybrid of academia, non-profit, pharmaceutical/biomedical R&D, and socio-behavioral research/human-centered design encompassing end-to-end expertise. Our holistic approach to our work makes our products, technologies, and research solutions more innovative, cutting edge and likely to add real value in underserved and low-resource settings.
We are a cross-functional R&D team with diverse expertise, brought together by a shared passion for our mission, and who together synergize to produce greater global health impact through the development of innovative user-centered technologies. Our game-changing products ultimately fill unmet global health needs and provide research knowledge to support and influence evidence-based decision making by key stakeholders in the field of global health.
CONRAD was established in 1986 under a cooperative agreement between Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences Eastern Virginia Medical School at Old Dominion University and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
