In Fall 2023, the Darden College of Education & Professional Studies reorganized some of its programs between the Educational Foundations & Leadership (EFL) and the STEM Education & Professional Studies (STEMPS) departments.

The new Department of Educational Leadership & Workforce Development (ELWD) offers undergraduate courses in fashion merchandising, industrial technology, training specialists, and teacher preparation in technology education and marketing education. Graduate programs include certificates, MS, and PhDs in Higher Education Leadership, Community College Leadership, K-12 Educational Leadership, and Workforce and Organizational Development. Publications of former STEMPS faculty will be included in this community beginning 2024.

EFL's program in Educational Psychology and Program Evaluation moved to the STEMPS Department. Publications of faculty in the EPPE program will be included in the STEMPS community beginning 2024.
