Abstract

This novel explores death, grief, trauma, family, addiction, recovery, friendship, and food. Each chapter finds the omniscient narrator close on a different character, spanning a hundred years, and all surrounding one home, and the people that lived in it, alive and dead. The mystery to unravel is why the ghosts of this home can do things other ghosts can, why the world can suddenly see ghosts (but only in Virginia Beach), and why everything seems to revolve around the alcoholic, former active-duty-Marine, Harold.
