Abstract
The purpose of this thesis was to develop a proposal to understand how a group of breast cancer survivors would respond to a group art therapy experience that focuses on making art about their bodies, and to examine what themes would emerge in the artwork and journals of participants during the course of the study. The proposed study is qualitative and would run for six consecutive weeks. The study is designed to recruit six to eight women who will be recruited through flyers and within the Sentara Hospital network.
