Abstract

[From Importance of Films reflection section] This Project’s approach is to create new visual, research-based content that applies the different elements of art including music, film and storytelling. This project intends to form connections between aspects of African American History and the evolution of jazz music. This new work is made with the intent to connect the new understanding that the younger generations have with the origin, history and purpose of this jazz.
