Close your eyes and imagine yourself in a school library. What does it look like, sound like, feel like? Do you conjure memories of your school days? Our libraries have evolved and so has the role of a school librarian. Librarians today support the whole school in reading literacy, technology literacy, and knowledge literacy. This chapter helps you refine your image of a school librarian and understand the important role the librarian can serve in the school and community to promote equity, inclusion, and diversity.
