Ellen Voigt directs the MFA Writing Program at Goddard College in Vermont. She is a poet whose work has been published in The New Yorker and The American Poetry Review. She has edited Arion's Dolphin. Her collection of poems Claiming Kin was published in 1976.

AWP Reading: Marvin Bell, Ellen Voigt, and David Madden, a reading of poetry and prose by three of America's finest writers. The reading took place at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 1978 at the Riverview Playhouse, 3910 Granby St., Norfolk.
