Daniel Halpern is on the staff at Columbia University. He is the founder of Antaeus magazine, editor of the American Poetry Series for the Ecco Press, and editor of The American Poetry Anthology. Mr. Halpern's publications include Traveling on Credit, The Lady Knife-Thrower, Street Fire, and Life Among Others.
Description
The Final Reunion, Now and Then. AWP Reading: Daniel Hallpern, Charles Wright. Two much-honored poets read from their own works at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 1978 at the Riverview Playhouse 3910 Granby St., Norfolk.
During the reading there was an intermission where the Poetry Quartet (Charles Burgess, Benjamin Clymer, Genevieve McGiffert, and Hope Mihalap) gave its first performance of the year in a program of dramatic readings called "Great Scenes from Shakespeare." They performed scenes from Richard II, Richard III, Measure for Measure, Macbeth, Othello, and Twelfth Night.
