Author/Artist Bio
Louise Redd has received both the Stella Airhardt Award and the Louis Sudler Prize. Her first novel, Playing the Bones, was chosen by Barnes & Noble books for their “Discover Great New Writers” program. It was also picked by the Austin Chronicle as one the top ten books of 1996. Her second novel, Victory Gardens, will be published by Little, Brown in 1998.

Redd read on Thursday October 16th, 1997 at 3:30 p.m. and on Friday, October 17th, 1997 at 3:30 p.m. with Richard Hell, Gay Talese, and Mike D'Orso.
