Nick Turse is a journalist and scholar whose forthcoming book, Kill Anything that Moves, documents atrocities in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. He is a 2009 Guggenheim Fellow, associate editor of the Nation Institute's Tomispatch.com, and has written on Vietnam-era atrocities for The Nation, In These Times and some of America's leading newspapers. His 2008 book, The Complex: How the Military Invades Our Everyday Lives, explores the 21st century military-industrial complex.
Description
Turse was a participant on the panel "Torture in the Age Terrorism" with Brian Turner and Jacob Welsberg; Joyce Hoffmann was the panel moderator. The panel discussion occurred on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the University Village Bookstore.
