Description
Phillips presented on Wednesday, October 8th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. "Creative Eats" - This presentation examines how writers and artists use the visual arts and cookbook writing to upset our conventional notions of food culture. It examines that which skirts the margins of the edible, examining artistic installations that profile rot and draw attention to food waste, work done with miniaturization and food, death row supper photo spreads, and cookbooks that use the marginally edible, and subculture food blogs.
