Imagine you must ask an older relative an emotionally packed question (i.e., ‘How did things change after Johnny died?’). Make that question the title of the poem. Then, write a persona poem in which that relative answers the question; make that relative’s voice as real as possible by including some of his/her/their expressions, and employing the kind of language they actually use. If you want, you can identify the relative in the dedication.
