Description

One of our greatest concerns today is ensuring the health of our environment for future generations. Due to increasing levels of greenhouse gases we are already experiencing rising global temperatures. Our capitalist system and unsustainable lifestyles conspire to make it hard for individuals to understand the long-term consequences they are having on society and the environment. The connection between environmental studies, politics, and economics is becoming ever more important in solving this issue. This presentation will evaluate these fields to find the root causes for climate change. It provides a general evaluation of environmental economics, a scientific look into climate change and why it needs to be addressed, and how environmental issues have influenced politics and what type of work has been done politically to confront them. This information is crucial to examining potential solutions, legislation, and regulations that can be implemented in the future.
