Description
The purpose of this project is to provide an introduction to the world of assistive and instructional technology for those who may be new to its concepts. Because there is such a massive amount of information available in this field, it is important to provide a resource that can categorize and expound upon the different usages and implications. This project examines the most common types of technology and applies them to the disability categories under IDEA, resulting in a culminating tool, a matrix. This matrix provides an easily understood and thorough look at the synthesis between technology and its application to the disabilities. Overall, this study presents both a gap and possible solution for better communicating the synthesis and application of assistive and instructional technology and its relation to students with disabilities.
