About the Poet
Bill Ayres is the author of 3 books of poetry: What Passes for Wisdom, Jesus Poems, and We Share the World. His work has appeared in Commonweal, Sojourners, The Hollins Critic, The Roanoke Review, and HOOT. He has won a number of prizes in the Poetry Society of Virginia contests.
He has spent his professional life running or helping to run bookstores. He is working in his 7th bookstore now.
He is currently the Southeastern Vice President of the Poetry Society of Virginia.
