Elizabeth Spencer Spragins
About the Poet
Elizabeth Spencer Spragins (she/her) is a fiber artist, writer, and poet who taught in North Carolina community colleges for more than a decade before returning to her home state of Virginia. Her short fiction, tanka, and bardic verse in the Celtic style have appeared in more than 80 journals and anthologies in 11 countries. She is the author of three original poetry collections: Waltzing with Water and With No Bridle for the Breeze (Shanti Arts Publishing) and The Language of Bones (Kelsay Books). Much of her work focuses on the triumphs and tragedies that have woven themselves into landscapes across America and beyond. She is a lifetime member of the Poetry Society of Virginia and the Riverside Writers chapter of the Virginia Writers Club.
