Abstract
Encourage youth in resilience efforts.
In partnership with Norfolk Public Schools, Portsmouth Public Schools, City of Norfolk – Office of Resilience, Old Dominion University, University of Virginia, Chrysler Museum of Art, Virginia Sea Grant, HRSD, Nauticus, the Elizabeth River Project led elementary, middle, and high school students in developing a Youth Resilience Strategy. Finalized in December 2019, this ‘Resilient Youth South Hampton Roads’ plan is one of the first in America to call on educators, both in our schools and in the community, to help our youth prepare to inherit these extraordinary and increasing challenges.
